How does speech, occupational, and physical therapy for kids work?

Have you ever wondered if your child is developing at the “right” pace? Every child develops differently, so it’s very common for parents to wonder if their children are experiencing a developmental delay. But, how do you know if your concerns are valid or not?

Your worries are likely a result of observing other children in your life. Maybe your child isn’t rolling over at the same age your niece did. Maybe your child still isn’t speaking and you’re not sure why. These are completely normal concerns, and you shouldn’t feel uncertain or embarrassed for having those thoughts. If you simply don’t know what to do, there’s one sure way to get some answers to your questions—schedule a child development evaluation.

Speech, occupational, and physical therapy for kids involves helping children participate in constructive activities and exercises. When we perform a child development evaluation, we do shortened versions of those activities as we learn more about you and your child. After your evaluation, you’ll receive a Plan of Care packet, which will give recommendations from our therapists for next steps.
