What is a developmental delay?
When a child does not meet developmental milestones within the range of “typical,” your pediatrician may recommend that they are seen by a pediatric therapist. Here are some examples of developmental milestones and their timeframes:

- Speech Therapists evaluate and treat speech and language disorders, and also address feeding issues. If your child has difficulty drinking from a bottle or swallowing pureed foods, an ST can assess oral motor function.
